I went to the local aviary on Sunday to get a hen for my recessive green cock. There weren't any I really fancied, so I bought two others. Sorry I don't have a digital camera. That would make it soooo much easier to just show you. One, the hen, is cobalt blue on her body, back and the back of her head, with a white cap and neck, and white tail and wings with a lacey pattern on it. Like a pearl looks like in a cockatiel. She is only about four months old. Is she called a spangle clearwing cobalt? The cock is really pretty. I know he's a lacewing. His body is the palest blue I've ever seen. He has a white head and under his tail, with dark eyes. There is no white circle around them. His wings have a pale grey lacey pattern through them. Can anyone tell me what the right name for these are? Also, what colours and types would I get if I bred them together? I hope I've made myself understood.

Well, I've worked out that the hen is probably a cobalt spangle. maybe the cock is a dilute blue lacewing. I just don't know as I don't know much about colours. I've had a look online. Sorry that no-one could help me, without pics.

Boy first... Does your boy have the marks like these two do on their wings??? If he does have the grey markings, then he is most likely a Greywing. Now for your girl... If your girl has these markings on her wings... The baby budgie in front... Then she is a spangle... but if she has markings on her wings like these... Then she is a Opaline. Hope I helped you out and sorry I didn't reply sooner!
