Tweety, my alexandrian parakeet is such a chatter box when he is in his cage. But when taken out, he is very silent! I want him to talk when he's outside but he just doesn't!

Most birds will talk when they feel comfortable. All my birds will talk when in their cages.......some will talk when out of their cages but only Skye would talk when out and about. Not on cue as such though, but she would always say "heeelllllooooo" to people as they walked by or wolf whistle at them as they walked by. She was on my shoulder (back in the days when she could be on my shoulder) and people would look at me thinking I did it. ;D It was very embarressing one day as I was in Brisbane in some big shopping complex with her on my shoulder and her doing her "heeellllloooo" to everyone as they walked past, but as I was standing outside a lingeree (spelling) shop a young couple walked past and Skye let out a very loud wolf whistle ........... both the young couple turned around and looked at ME and the guy was not impressed either .......... I probably had a huge smile on my face as it was funny .......but they obviously thought I did it. ;D But quite often Skye has answered or said something in context to something I have said or done.
