He is a fine looking bird John, he also looks like he is winking at you. I see you have some big plastic links in his cage. Does he play with them. I bought a metre of the links from my hardware store & cut them into pieces & put them in my ringnecks cages & they love playing with them. I also have them hanging in my holding avairy for my young tiels & it is their favoutite toy. Cheers Anna

Thanks for the comments everyone, he can be a little noisy if you leave him in his cage too long and don't pay any attention to him, he loves company and yes he is very smart Frank. He is 25 years old and loves it when i have visitors.
The plastic links that you get from the hardware would be harder than the ones from the pet shop but I wouldnt think they would be toxic at all he plays with them and chews them but not really hard, just mnore or less rolls them around in his beak.
He is very gentle with most people and I dont remember him biting any one he just loves company.
John

Hi Polly, the links I bought from the hardware are quite safe & very very hard as I enquired about the materials first before buying it. My ringies have not been able to put a dent in theirs & that is saying something about the links as they manage to destroy most things in their cages with their beaks. They don't seem to chew them but just like to swing the chain around & maybe put them in their beaks. Hope this helps. Anna
