I have a 5yr old Pale headed rosella and I don't know how to tell the sex of one... Is there anyway I can tell the sex of it without having to go to a vet.
I want to get a friend for my new rosella... ;D

Hi, You haven't said what kind of Rosella but I know with the easterns you can tell by the lack of colour on the females they are drab looking but unless you have another to compare it too you might be better taking either a blood sample or try feather sexing. They are both easy procedures. have a look at these couple of sights. www.mdsafrica.netwww.genescience.com.auCheers Leah

Not sure if this will be of much help, but if you look under the wing of your Pale Head you will either see a line of white dots under the wing....then she is a lady. Or there will be no dots and then he is a gent. ALL THE BEST
