I have found only one article re the above topics. Have just got a pair of three year old Kings. I would appreciate help with feeding, breeding boxes etc. Any info would be welcome. I feel somewhat insecure with them. Tah heaps, Allen

wow lucky you. I know nothing about them. Try going to some breeders or pet shops or surfing the net for info. I found these avenues most helpful.

A proven breeding pair? Congragulations on the new birds.... Honestly I would of looked into it before buying a bird and not knowing.. But you only learn with asking questions so I'm happy to answer.
They usually breedbetween July-January for most places. They need a decent size aviary. They are like Galahs and love playing so they need a decent size aviary for it. Provide a very deep log or grandfather type nesting box to a depth of at least 1.5 (5ft) or 2m (6ft 8in) sitting or in the ground. The inside diameter needs to be around 25 to 30 cm (10-12in). If the log or nest box is slightly angled it will aid the parents in entering and departing the nest but may also prevent them from damaging the eggs.
Have you hand reared baby birds before?
