Introducing Boris and Zsa Zsa.

I bought my blue as a boy and was told he was surgically sexed.His about 15 mths old.

My green bought as a hen from a young guy getting out of birds back when hens were hard to get about 4 mths ago and she is suppose to be about 3 yrs old.

Here are some pics and would be interested to see what ppl think their sexes are.

they are housed together and alone with a box etc etc.They seem to have bonded but nothing else.

if ppl think they are a pr than I know it will just be him being an immature bird and I shall have to wait,wait,wait!!! ;D

Well Sebastian Zsa Zsa looks like a girl thats for sure, the male bird has a bright purple patch on the back between the wings the hen is a lot duller in that area. not sure about Boris but if he has been surgically sexed I would take take that as his sex.

Princess Parrots will breed right up until January but as you say you will just have to wait I think, next season sounds about right for them as they have just got to know each other, my pair took two seasons to do anything so in the mean time just enjoy them they are beautiful birds.

Yes they look like a pair to me. Zsa Zsa also has the brown eyes for the girls.. and Boris has the orange eyes for the males

Beautiful birds Seb I'm sure they'll settle into breeding next season.

They are beautiful.....I waited almost 10 yrs to be owned by a princess and these 2 are great fun.

I am so proud of them that their aviary is 8' long 4' wide and about 10' high and if they loose a tail feather I get annoyed because in my eyes a princess isn't a princess without a great tail!!!

I am going to be shocking when they moult hehehehe

They are both beautiful. I agree with Pauline and John for the reasons that they said, also the blue boys have obvious blue on their crowns like Boris does.
