I have been trying to buy split pins for my Bourke's or plastic equivalents and have been told size 7 fits. BUT i can't find any locally on the central coast and the ones off the shelf at pet stores don't actually give you a size only type of bird.
Can anyone let me know what size 7 equals in the market..is it budgies, finches, whatever.
I tried the web but am not sure where to go to purchase them.
CAN ANYONE HELP?
by the way...would plastic be best for me as I do not know what I am doing yet?

Do you mean split rings Lillyvale? if thats what you mean size 7 is the right size for grass parrots such as Red Rumps, Bourke's, turks and the like, I also use them for my cockatiels but I have to admit I get mine from the manufacturer, New Craft Trading at Mortdale, but you should be able to get them through any reputable bird shop.

You can buy them from the Parrot Society. Phone Graham Wilkinson on 07 3200 7065 or EMAIL: avitrade@parrotsociety.org.au They will post the rings to you. You can purchase plastic rings 10 per $4.00 or Aluminum split rings 10 per $7.16. You mentioned the pet shop has budgie ot finch rings they are too small. You need Neophemas rings.
