Hi Guys, I've set up a web-hosting site on ripway for my photos but I notice that a lot of you have actually posted your photos into your message. When I do that, th eimage is HUUUUUGE !!!!!!!!.........and I don't think that anybody would be able to see it even if they do open it. I've compressed the photos down as low as they can go but can you give me any ideas what would cause the photo to be so large and what I can do to 'bring them down to size" Cheers Viraba

Hi Viraba Two thing you may have to check is the quality of the pictures that your camera is taking.......my Didge has a Quality setting of Good Better or Best and then there is a resolution setting of standard or high, if I'm posting photos on the net I use the lowest quality for both but if I'm printing the photo out to photo paper I use the highest settings.......it all comes down to pixels the least amount for the nett the better. also what are you using to compress your pics? Cheers Deb

Hi Deb, I have similar settings on my digital as well and always take them on the highest setting.....that way you can use them for both printing and, after editing, for e-mail or web use. I then use ACDSee or Paint Shop Pro 8 to edit and reduce them via the JPEG compression tools. I've never had this problem before and it's probably something I'm doing. The only way that I can think of getting around it is to actually reduce the size (dimensions) of the frame. Haven't tried that yet. Any suggestions always welcome Cheers Viraba
