I love my fish almost as much as my birds and when all my Kuhli Loaches started dying unexplainably I was quite upset. When one of the final 3 was at the bottom of the tank not moving, I presumed it dead....even when I clumsly tried to get it out of the tank repeatedly squashing it against the glass, it really looked dead! Now I couldn't bury him, cos my dogs would dig him up....so the toilet was! When he hit the water he suddenly started swiming As much as I hate to admit it, my finger hovered over the flush button for a second....but I just couldn't. So with the net I quickly tried to retrieve him...but the net doesn't exactly catch well it the toilet bowl! Long story- I spent 15min trying to get the little guy out with my hands and net (I was in to much of a hurry to think of gloves) Finally I got him back in the fish tank, only for him to die a few hours later So if I love my bird more than my fish.....well you can imagine Just thought I'd share

Oh that is sad, but I had a little laugh too (I did say i have a sick sense of humour). It was the way you told the story - not the story itself.
