These are actually true stories:
My 15 year old daughter and myself were playing hide and seek with my 3 year old son. You know we hide him then find him - LOL.
Well i hid him behind skye's (RSE) cage, and Rhianna was going along with the game, yelling out "where are you" and Caillean would yell back "I am here" (LOL). Skye decides to turn around and look down at Caillean (3 year old son) and she loudly said "hello" "I am here", then laughed at him!!!!! My daughter and I just looked at each other and cracked up laughing. Skye just dobbed on Caillean. LOL
Oh another one she did about a week ago, - I was trying to get some frozen passionfruit blocks out of the ice cube makers (I freeze them for Skye so when not in season we still have some). Anyway I was bashing them on the sink and making a lot of bashing noise. Skye was in her cage but on the verandah, she could see me from the kitchen window. While I am bashing loudly she yells out - "ouch" - she must have thought with all that noise someone must be hurt. LOL
Another one (I am on a roll now. LOL). I put Skye in the lounge room on her tstand to watch a bit of TV. Well she was facing the fishtank (which I have owned for years) and looks at it and says "wow". I looked at her and just shook my head, she obviously decided the fishtank looked good.

Hi Tracey, I luved your stories LOL. It never ceases to amaze me the antics that birds get up to & the words that our fids can mimic. My pet ringneck is a classic with what he says, like when hubby is getting some of our pet birds out & he is waiting for his turn he says come on then hurry up. His vocabulary of words is getting more & more everyday. His latest word is peek a boo I can see you while hanging upside down from my head, then the little bugger nips me on the bridge of my nose & then goes ouch & I swear he then laughs at me. Great to hear your stories, it makes having birds all the more rewarding I rekon. Cheers Anna

My rainbow lorikeet talks like you wouldn't believe and he seems to know what is going on at the time. Every time he hears me stiring the spoon in the coffee. he sings out "coffees made". If the corella calls out he says "what's the matter Max" and when we set the security alarm to go out he says "see you later, see you Max". But the best one is when I take him downstairs to clean his cage he says"Look at the mess you made" over and over again and when we go upstairs again after it's clean he says " good boy clean again" and laughs. I think he's pretty clever.
