Hi Everyone, The first Bird I owned, now some 40 years ago, was a Cockatiel hen named Henrietta, she was a normal grey of course, all that was available then. She had a mate named Henry, but they never bred, It was probably my fault, didn't have a clue then. She lived to the ripe old age of 16 too. When ever I see a grey Cockatiel I think of her, and she was responsible for my life long love of Birds ( obsession might be a better word ) When and if I meet Henrietta in the after life I'm going to strangle her . my first bird was a baby orphan swift i was about 10 years old and thats is wat started my love of birds its funny how its gets u in like a true addiction i warned my husband when we met but u know i dont think he took me seriousely welll now he knows
