Oh gee I am crying again. I thought I had shed enough. My galah died suddenly on Saturday night for those who have not read it in another post.
Her name was Bo, she got that name because I did not know if she was a she until she matured and I liked someone on TV in those days who had the name Bo. Luckily I do not watch that show anymore. She would have been 15 around november this year. Bo was a lovely natured bird, who rarely bit and I could and did take her to the kids schools every year for show and tell and all the kids would pat her and make a fuss of her. She loved men and she definetly knew the difference, she would flirt with any new male that turned up, whether he be a friend or husband of a friend or someone doing renovations, she just loved them. she loved to strutt her stuff around the yard and until the last few months when I was trying to let her wing grow out, she was allowed to walk around the yard regularly. I thought she was depressed so I clipped her wing again and let her out to walk around and that did seem to pick her up. she loved to shower under the hose on the grass and would flap her wings and scream and roll around in sheer delight of the shower. She also loved to bite and torment the dogs and she was the only animal who get a bone of my old female staffy - she would kill any other animal who tried to get her bone, but Bo was allowed to chew on it. The dogs where scared of Bo. LOL. It was funny to watch actually, these two staffies, scurrying away from a "harmless" bird, but defending what was theirs from any other animal. Well that's my little memory clip of Bo. She will always be remembered.
