has been stolen. I would put a great deal of money that it was theft, not escape, as both spring loaded side doors were open where they were closed before. She was taken in the Kelvin Grove UQ/RBH area.
Liss will go into it in greater detail, probably with recent pictures, but I thought it would be a good idea to get a post up ASAP. If anyone sees a green cheek for sale in the brisbane area whose back feathers are mangled from overpreening, it's very likely to be her.

Oh that's terrible! Try the Stolen Bird Hotline on the Parrot Society site and petlink too. Good Luck

.She was stolen this morning at around 8:30am. I put her in her cage for ten minutes to go and have a shower, and all doors were closed. I came out to get her after and the two side doors were open and she was gone. Both doors are springloaded. Most recent pictures of her. I've called all the local vets and pet stores so they're keeping an eye out, and put posters up in the area as well as asking neighbours to keep an eye back. I don't think I'm going to see her again though.

Nope, there's no way. She wouldn't anyway, she doesn't like being out unless I'm around. She also wouldn't bother to open both doors.
My theory is that they opened both and used one to get an arm through to scare her down to the other side and then grabbed her.

No neighbours around at the time, nor housemates. I just can't believe it - a ten minute window and she's gone.
