I saw a young green cheek at Paulines place the other day when picking Takoda up (Petiel) and I did not realise they were so pretty with that maroon coloured tail and the pretty green etc. It was also extremely friendly flying to me then my husband with no fear at all.

Beautiful birdies! Everywhere I read about them one thing is said: they are an ideal pet bird for unit owners (not noisy). A friend who owns two, not tame ones, said no dog could be a better alarm comparing to green cheek conures! They can make big, big noise as soon as they spot someone coming to the gate.

they are very pretty birds indeed. I love the green with the maroon and the black feathers.......very striking.
