I am soooo excited I am getting a baby Plumhead at the weekend. He has a damaged foot but I'm still happy to give him a home. He has been out of the nest a few days & will need feeding fr a bit WOOHOO ;D

Well I picked him up last Saturday. He is lovely, his leg is bent back under him but when I have someone here to hold him I might try to splint. It seems to have been broken in the middle of his " femur" & hasn't healed properly by the feel of it. Anway it is worth a try

good luck with trying to fix his leg up mrsmacka..like Jane said, young birds heal pretty fast so hopefully it will work for you. Even if it doesnt fix it right up Im sure he will be fine. I know of quite a few bird with "woopy" legs that live a perfectly happy life.
