Well my aviaries are now looking like Pollparrots! You now the picture...bulging out with poor little birds squeezed against the sides praying I don't feel the urge to get 'just one more'!LOL No they aren't quite that bad but I have added 13 new birds within the last few weeks. Is that too many??? I haven't even done a full headcount to see how many I have all up now! I have taken steps to solve the problem though! I am building another bank of suspendeds!!! I couldn't have the poor things crowded together so the only solution was to get more space. So hopefully within the next 2 weeks I will no longer have a problem! Unless of course I get led astray again and some more find their way home!!LOL It was hubby's fault! I was only going to get 2 on Sunday but he didn't stop me when I got to 7! And he didn't resist when I got 4 a week or so before that. Then the 2 before that could have been more if more were available. I just wish he would stop buying all these birds when I am with him! It makes it look like I have a real problem and I don't ....True!!! Jo-Anne

What can I say Jo-Anne but heh heh heh, way to go girl ;D. Haven't you got a lovely hubby letting you have all those new birds, but I really do think you are the one leading him astray LOL. Good luck with your new birds & aviaries. By the way what did you buy bird wise? Cheers Anna

Well they are all cockatiels of course!! The first 2 are split spangles and are now on 7 eggs. The next 4 were a pair of wf silvers and 2 young wf pastelsilvers. The remaining 7 comprised of 1 pastelsilver split either wf or pastelface, 1 nearly clear cinn pied, 2 very heavy wf cinn pieds and 3 heavy whiteface pieds. All of the last 7 are around a year old and now I am waiting to find out the exact sexes so I can start sorting out some pairs. Jo-Anne

Just one point about leading hubby astray on all this!!! It was him that decided originally it would be nice to have a cockatiel or 2. That very first day he bought 3!!! Even though I have sort of taken over with the breeding and handraising etc I think it is really him that is the addict but using me as a scapegoat!!!LOL Jo-Anne

Sounds like you got some very nice birds Jo-Anne. I wish we had a better variety here in SA with tiels, but most of the good ones are all interstate. Well what can I say but you both are addicted now & led each other astray LOL. Good on you both though, as there is nothing more rewarding than having birds. Hubby has just finished making me a new aviary & next year well lets just say that there will be more aviaries on the way & it was his idea . Cheers Anna
