Well its an almost confession. A 'woulda if i coulda' There was a bird show/sale on near my house the other weekend and it was soooo great i cant think of a word meaning better than great. There was everything from budgies and finches to Macaws. There was these gorgous little Lories that i had never seen in the flesh and the sweetest baby King Parrot ( what i want no need ) he was covered in pin feathers and had big eyes and a big beak and he was so curious. I talked to a few of the ppl there and they were really friendly and its like you become automatic friends when you tell them you keep birds as well. I couldnt stop talking about it to my friend and i cant wait for the next one. I think its going to be in Maitland next month. I am deliberately not getting my bird licence to limit the birds a get cause if i coulda i woulda brought home at least 3

Isn't it great though to see all the birds in the flesh? They look so much more colourful than in the books

One of they guys at the show told me to look in the back of the Bird Trader Magazine or join the bird club and they put out a magazine with it in there. I actually found out about this show from another bird site, i cant remeber which one but i was looking at birds for sale back before i got little Forrest.

Phil go and have a look at the section marked "Clubs, Associations & Bird Societies" section on this forum and it will give you contact details for lots of clubs and you will find that in some cases give you dates of shows in lots of different states.
