Not much of a confession but just wondering how much breeders sell moustache parrots for? There is a petshop near me selling one and just want to know how much they are trying to rip people off.

in defence of pet stores don't forget they are paying rent and gst etc etc so obviously are going to be dearer than a backyard breeder. Which is not to say that some of them aren't greedy of course but there are good pet shops and bad pet shops. On petlink atm they are $200 hand raised

ok this one is about $460 if i remember correctly, it's a female and she is 3 months old and her name is Evie. She is very cute but her feathers don't look that good. This petshop isnt that good, i don't like it much, the bird cages are ok size but the store is very squished. There are 2 near my work that are good though. The birds are a bit pricey but look happy and healthy...this one is tame but the feathers look a bit rough and no i won't be getting it...considered it but no. I have already decided my next bird after Matches is a green cheek conure lol and the one at this petshop is too costly too lol.

If you do give into temptation Courtney I'm sure we'll find you one through here at a reasonable price The moustaches are very very cute, I bought some birds off a lady who had 2 handraised ones are they could not get enough cuddles

Oh gosh lucky im not the type of girl who is into shoes/clothes/hair cos after i finish my flock i wouldnt have any money left to buy food for me haha. Oh and tracey thats just some of the ones lol also want caiques, finches and quails and others too...dream bird is a hyacinth macaw and unless my bf's band suddenly takes off (don't see that happenin lol) that is never gonna happen...and if i do get acreage i want emu's too lol. Gosh...Lucky i only want one of each (except the emu's)...yeah ill probably get like not even a quarter of the amount haha. More cockatiels would be nice and doves argh listen to me grrr... I would like to handrear some babies one day too, that would be awesome.

The eagleby bird sale is always on a Saturday so I never get to go, they sometimes post it here but it's always in the Weekend Shopper, as are most of them It's at the Community Hall in Eagleby.
