Well it is time to make a confession. Today we became the owners of two new peachfaced lovies. The other half found out about them and he couldn't say no! They are not tame, already given us a nip lol. We are not sure what mutation they are exactly so I will post some pics tomorrow and see if anyone can enlighten us.
Also received a phone call and we have just been offer a pink and grey galah for free with a cage. We don't know how old it is or if it is male or female but it is handraised and still tame. Walks/flies around the house will sit on shoulders etc. The owner is getting rid of it as they don't have the time for it anymore. Couldn't help but say yes. So if it all works out we will have another feathered friend in the family.

Our galah will be here sometime in the school holidays. Sister-in-law will be bringing it down when she comes for a visit. It is actually her husbands bosses bird. Still not sure what it is really like. It is supposedly male and either 15 or 20 yrs old. Not going to complain when we don't have to pay for it but I am preparing myself to put a lot of time aside just in case. Can't be too prepared.

Galahs make lovely pets when tame.

They tame fairly easily anyway, ours was wild but was going to be put down cos she could never fly again so we took her (well my grandad before i was born) and my dad tamed her.
