Hey guys,
have just bought in a heat strssed 28 parrot, fairly young. I have spritzd him administered electrolytes and fluids. he is in a cool room (not under a fan or anything, we all know what that leads too!) is there anything more i can do for him???

Not really Megan. Just leave him in the dark and quiet with some water and check him every few of hours until you go to bed. The less interference the better chance he has.

hmmm that is what i ussually do but always ask a second opinion anyway, more often than not my efforts are in vain, the poor little guy passed away, i think i held out to much hope for him to start with because he was in a bad way. hopefuly now in birdy heaven he can be well again

You done all you could Megan ,so at least the 28 parrot didn't die in stress condition compared to what would have hapenned to him if you didn't take him in,so you done very well and l am sure the 28 parrot will know that also Good caring...

Most carers lose many more than they save Megan. By the time we see them they're in such a bad way that not many survive. You did all the right things for him. Good on you for trying to save him.
