My list will be getting longer we are living on a quater of an acre block and there is literally no garden so heaps of room for aviaries, just got to convince the in-laws to let me because it is their house. I would love to have some fish, they are so relaxing to watch, but I don't have the funds to maintain a tank... that is a future endeavor for me.
I have never heard of a hawkfish before.

Cyra,
Aviaries sneak in LOL......18 months ago I bought one (now deceased) off ebay. Than 2 much smaller ones arrived...sold 1 (but it is now returning).
I now have 6 aviaries after finally putting up my newest acquisition which is a 3 bay aviary (making 2 of them now)....I got them both for a mere $50 ea. I also have 2 others that were given to me that are large to say the least.
The one that is returning is not in the count BUT I am also getting the panels off yet another aviary that was pulled down and the panels measure 6' x 4' (approx 8 panels).......seee I told you they creep up on you LOL.
Best part is I still have heaps of lawn left AND I still have the section of yard free for my "piece de resistance" aviary that will one day house my Major Mitchells. They will be right outside my bedroom window and I plan on taking my bedroom curtains down so I can lay in bed and watch them....ahhhh with luck just a year to go for that dream to come true. LOL

Is this Harry??? Yep Thats Harry ;D Thanks for the pic you beat me to it, I was just going to find one, was too busy today 'end of month' and all Harry is adorable, Hawkfish don't have a swim bladder so they don't float so swim really fast and perch on their pectorial fins like in the good photo you found Tracey don't worry I'm pretty sure Harry wouldn't hestitate to eat anyone who'd fit in his mouth. I read this great description of them that said 'they perch on the rocks all day waiting for small fish to swim past.....to eat not to play with' Thanks so so much for that offer Ben 'any marine problems' ..... I'm pretty sure now marine is a problem They are beautiful fishes though Wow you do have a super job don't you ;D

Didn't you have some mice as well Megzly? And for my head count I'll include animals I help take care of that aren't strictly 'mine' 1 GCC (Trouble) 2 Budgies (Anath who is mine and Tristan who I just care for ) 1 Australian Silky Terrier (my Mum's but more often than not I give her breakfast, lunch and sometimes dinner, take her for walks, clean up her messes etc) The silky terrier doesn't look like a silky though. She has a problem with a gland that doesn't work anymore or something so she's on medication for the rest of her life and has this very thick black coat now, as well as being very thin hence the three meals - not that she's putting on any weight.

Ok time to review my headcount... We lost the Fischer's this morning. I think the poor little fella was too stressed, he just would not settle no matter what we did and would not eat. I don't think I like Wednesdays anymore... both Cosmo and this one died on Wednesdays.
