Those people are so inspirational. They're only about 60 or so km away from me.

one thing annoyed me, they said they are exclusive to the south west- NOT TRUE we only have millions of them here and we are in the north west- everyday i see a new flock of them and every year i find millions of babies (i record babies i find)

Megan, the subspecies of red tail you get is the samueli and the subspecies of white tail is the carnaby, the ones Dave and Deidre are talking about are naso - red tail and baudins - white tail. These two ARE endemic to the south west forests ONLY. We also get the carnabys here but not as many or as frequently as the baudins but we don't get any samueli.

Black cockatoos are lovely. Its so sad how they are dying. I used to have a black cockatoo aviary when we lived on a farm.
