Or just make one big sucker for everyone to fly around in. Wouldn't that be wonderful? I'd love to have enough room to have one of those HUGE greenhouse frames the big nurseries use and cover it with snakeproof size mesh and plant trees and have a stream and everything ;D

ummmmm, ....... I do only use 2 bedrooms, that does still leave a few. Im actually thinking the spa may have to go. YOU HAVE A SPA? ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am coming to visit ya!! ;D ;D ;D lol Jane you sound like me wanting a huge aviary to fit out like a natural enviroment. Have you seen the bird enclosures at Australia Zoo??? Thats the kind I want where I can walk in and still be able to play with my birds but at the same time let them have their freedom and live fairly natural.

In Queens Park in Ipswich they have this bird enclosure that I think in area would be about a half acre. The roof is about 100 foot above. They have heaps of varieties of birds not just some parrots but the funny ground runners that freeze when you look at them (probably hoping you didn't see them!). Reckon the aviary must have cost a cool half million!

I wish I had of known about the bird enclosure in Ipswich whilst I was there, I would of love to gone and had a look. I am off on holidays in November - heading North - so might have to make a little bit of a detour to check it out.
I would love an aviary where you could sit in and not disturb the birds. I love to photograph them, and to have something like that would be a dream come true.

The spa has conditions on use. (upon application) lol I have filled my yard with aviaries, and bird rooms. I knew I should have bought a smaller house and bigger yard. I have always wanted a large tropical sun room filled with rainforest birds and plants, with a flowing stream and waterfall. One that I can have that all important coffee in. Hmmmm, one day.

lol the "ground runners" sound cool. Sounds like they are the type of bird I would love to add to my collection. Only problem is I would look at them all the time to see just how long they could "freeze" for ;D ;D meandem, don't you already live in an area where you can photograph birds in your very own natural open aviary!. ;D "Conditions on use of the spa".....oh don't worry, I would never "P" in it! ;D

Am I sounding too greedy now? I just want it all!!!!!!!!

LOL Summit! I love going to the aviary in Queens Park. Haven't been there for awhile. Just made a date with the mother, after my next human vet visit we'll go for a look. This is the only photo I've got from inside the aviary:
