Since Storm is my first princess parrot I'm only just learning about his noises and behavour. Anyway today he's sitting on my shoulder making a nibbling motion on my cheek and making a constant clucking sound for want of a better word. Any ideas? He's also had a go at both weeros and my red cap Methinks he's a wee bit jealous

;DYou're not wearing any extra blush (or whatever that red stuff is called) are you ? It sounds to me like he ummmmm, really likes you. Just from what I read above it does sound like a male, and roughly 10-18 months old. I could be wrong (will never admit that again!) but it sounds like he has bonded to you and is just hitting adolescence.

aaww Storm's in love I think you are probably right Jules My prinnies are all avairy birds so I can't say they like me that much but they are lovely birds, the boys 'chirple' (for lack of a better sound description) all day and the hens are pretty quiet except when my first hen wanted to be fed by her hubby last spring and she did this begging cry thing ALL day very LOUD I swear the whole street could hear.

Hmm I figured as much. Not bad considering I've only had him a month.
Summit, your 'comment' was read and noted ;D No need to admit it again, it's already here in writing ;D

My male princess parrots have an extra tip on the very end of their first wing feather. And they really do a lot of singing, chirping, clicking, dancing, stomping (their feet), they really are quite entertaining to watch. It sounds like you have a soul mate for life in Storm

You way edit all you like but I saw it ;D Hahaha about the honesty to gf, there is other priorities (birds) sometimes. Meandem, he is supposedly 2 years old but seems younger to me. Can't see any spatules but if he's younget than I was told he won't have them yet. His head is bluish but his rump is grey, it's all a lil strange but I love him. ;D

I spotted my hen doing the little dance to the male the other day, it was so funny! she was clucking her beak, pinning her eyes and bowing sideways to him. He just sat there doing nothing!! I think she is ready to mate and he's not sure. hehe

This is my Father Princess, he has the tips on the wings and he is two years old. Not a super picture for you to look at, but his colouring is fantastic. His son (bred last year) is not as bright, but I'm guessing in time, he will be as stunning as his dad.

What other birds are you chasing? Or not chasing? Have you got room to expand? If I had my way, I will fill my whole backyard with aviaries. Or just make one big sucker for everyone to fly around in.

All I am really after now is a nice pair of white front blue scarlets (like your cock bird) or 5. I have quite a few aviaries, maybe room for one more bank but it will only be able to have 7 flights. I think I just need to move lol
