I just took in an unwanted green Quaker. He is a pretty nice bird nature wise considering he has been here for about 2 hours.
Are there any particulars anyone knows about with these birds ? I have experience with conures and am assuming they are rather similar in needs.

This bird is so trustworthy. Had him out tonight and all he wants is to be with people. He seems to be willing to try just about anything I put infront of him.

I have just recently purchased Quakers, so I am curious to find out loads of information too. Whats the name of your new little mate? It would be nice to have a photo, so we can all put a face to that name

Phill has 2 handraised ones as pets so maybe he can give an insight into them. Mary is off to Parrotzs 2008 so may not be around for a few days.

His name is Jade. I will snap a pic or two soon for y'all. He is actually really well trained now he has settled in somewhat. He rolls over when you say "dead bird", steps up and down on command, poops when you say "yuck" (found that out the hard way, or should that be soft way)
