Hi,
My name is Shaun Sypher and I am from near Forster NSW. I am getting back into breeding birds after a 10 yr break. I am looking at eccys, aussie parrots, asiatics etc.
Is there anyone else from around the Mid north Coast here? I will be looking to buy alot of birds in the coming months.
Thanks Shaun

Welcome Shaun, I'm sure you will find lots of good friendly people here, including breeders of the birds you are interested in.
I don't know any breeders around your part of the coast, but there are plenty arounf Newcastle and the lower Hunter. Best idea would be to find club in the area and meet breeders through that.
cheers,
Mike

Thanks Jane and Mike. I am happy to find a site that you can talk to other people with the same interests in keeping birds. I am happy to travel to buy birds from breeders etc.
Thanks Shaun

Welcome Shaun and look forward to seeing all your new birdies. ;D I own a pair of ekkies and a pair of alex's ........ not proven yet .......... but my ekkies are sitting on their second clutch of eggs due to hatch next week (I think). ;D (sorry guys I have been quiet on this ) Only just put the nest box in for Shrekie and her hubby Alex (original name I know) the alexandrines. They eat together and someone has been in the nest box........not sure who though. Shrekie is very human bonded to me but does seem to like eating with Alex.......we will see what happens. She is happy in her aviary (I showed you pics in the thread about plastic joiners). My ekkies are in the other half of that aviary and they all get to fly around and really have a good stretch of their wings. Gee I have prattled on ........... haven't done that for quite some time actually WELCOME ;D

Bit late to welcome but welcome...neville connors from casuarina aviaries is an awesome place to visit if you travel north a bit more, he's near grafton. The breeder I got my alexandrine from has places all over australia where he breeds birds. Or he knows people too, Ian Adcock.

*waves cheerily to Shaun*
Have you thought about joining some of the bird clubs? That way you can get to know the people and their set ups before you buy any birds.
Cheers,
Kate
