interesting link Robert. Thanks for that one ;D
I was a member of Land of Vos for about 2 years and there were many stories of Pluck no more being an excellent tonic for quite a lot of pluckers.....not all.......but a lot. Also aloe vera spray is supposed to be another good one too. I give my birds aloe leaves......actually have some planted in each aviary now......but the birds have not taken advantage of them yet.

Yes Jane they actually eat it. I read you are supposed to peel the skin off.......but I just pick a leaf and put it in their dish and Skye used to hook into it like there was no tomorrow. When she would get toe tap I would give her plenty of calcium enriched foods and an aloe vera leaf.

My understanding of aloe vera leaf or plant is that it is like a cleansing treatment..........that is my understanding.

Aloe Vera & Aloe Detox formula is very good for parrots inside & out, particularly kidney problems.
The 'poisonous' part of the aloe is a thin layer of sap in between the leaf & gel. It's known to cause irritations. Some people just peel the skin off & offer the gel but most people I know give them the whole stem.

Yep I do that.......I just break the stem open with my nails and give it to the birds.
