My pet Charlie the Corella aged 6 months flew out the cage door when he was outside and after the accident I'm now very sad and devastated and I'm always missing him and thinking about him. Below is a photo of Charlie in the cage. He doesn't have his wings clipped and being so young I'm really worried about him being in the wild. I've given and put lost posters with a picture of him around my area hoping someone will find Charlie and I'm able to have him back at my home safely. I live in a suburb called Elizabeth Vale and is in South Australia. Anyone who sees him or have found him you can call me on my mob, my name is Luke: 0423697509. My thoughts and prayers are with Charlie and i hope to get my adored pet Corella back soon.

Hello Luke, sorry to hear about Charlie. I can only suggest that you call all the vets and pet stores in the area and let them know, because quite often people take a found bird to a vet or pet store.
I hope that you get him back, it's clear you cared about him very much.

Oh no, that is terrible Luke. I have my fingers crossed that Charlie will be returned to you safe and sound very quickly.
Can you contact your local radio stations and put out a "lost & found" broadcast? I think that is free.
Good luck for Charlies return.
Beautiful bird by the way.

Just to give you a bit of hope.......I had lost my pet galah quite a few times but the longest was for 7 days. I honestly didn't think I would get her back. But the people read the lost and found in the paper and they rang me and I got her back. She had walked across the road (her wings were clipped) and they didn't have a cage for her so they took her to a friends place who had a pet galah. Lucky for me they realised how much they loved their bird and realised that someone might be missing a much loved pet and they gave her back. I also gave them a reward too. I bought a bunch of flowers and some scratchies for them.
Fingers crossed that you do get him back.

It would have been a top feeling at the time seeing him again and the feeling of having him safe with you. I've placed an add in the local messenger for Charlie and i rang the rspca and they took Charlie's details and mine and they said they'll call me if they find him and i rang fauna rescue of SA. I left a message on the fauna rescue SA answering machine and I'm waiting for a reply from them. I also placed a missing poster of Charlie on the window at the local deli and hairdresser. Also put missing posters in letter box's around the area. I have my fingers crossed that I'll hopefully get him back.

Yes that is about all you can do. I also lost my baby alex male when he was only 12 weeks old and I had just weaned him. I was devastated as he would not have survived as he was only just weaned. I put flyers in letterboxes and up at the corner shops and door knocked ..... and luckily got him back about 48 hours later. He was 3 doors up the road and they (well the husband) wasn't going to give him back. I asked if he (the bird) had a gold coloured leg ring. The guy said "no".........I then said well it is a bronze/gold colour and I have the number of the ring.........the guy then said yes and I got Takoda back.
It makes me all emotional now just writing about it now. I do so hope you get your bird back.
