It took AAAGGGEEES but with care and love, Lorrie, our injured lorikeet that appeared in our backyard, I think is all better now.
But... any tips on how to release him back to the wild? He's adapted to human care very well. Waking up in the morning and finding clean fresh water, yummy fruits and seeds, with yummy nectar, life couldn't get any better. No need to hunt for food, no need to worry about threats, and always finding a good place to sleep.
It's been a while, I hope he hasn't forgetton how to find food??

is there a local wildlife park taht could take him?
i would be worried releasing without being in large pre release cage, also have to think about muscle density lost while in captivity.

I should give them a call though. Thanks.
