 My name is Geoff but more importantly the names of my two and only two birds now are Zoe and Ceasar. They are two very well behaved Eclectus parrots. Female and Male respectively. I am about to embark on trying to breed these two wonderful friends of mine and am admittedly a little in the dark so am hoping that this site will help me gain the knowlegde, with the library of books I have purchased, and other people I have talked to into being scessful. I have had these two since they were sixweeks old and with the help of the breeder ( a very close friend of mine) hand raised them. Zoe is now 5 years old and Ceasar is 4. I will post a pic of them both soon and hope to here from some of you on the wide and various questions I no doubt will encounter along the way. Thankyou in advance.

I think you'll have no probs getting info on here....currently there have been two ekkie babies born (maybe more) to a couple of members here...so it's been a hot goss topic there for a while. You might like the browse thru some older posts etc.

And another big welcome from Erik the other "ekkie star" here on the forum. Erik is a male that my first time ekkie parents hatched out on the 18th July this year. But they decided to pluck him badly and one of his eyes is damaged......not sure how or if he hatched this way....but I am now raising him since he was 3 weeks old and he is doing fine now. Chuckles is a girl that Ellen (meandem) bought at about 5 days of age (we guess she is about 5 days younger than Erik.......don't we Ellen ;D ) It has been amazing for us to watch these two bubs grow as they are a pigeon pair. My adult girl is 4 and she was my pet ........but she turned "female ekkie" on me at about 2 years of age. We bought her a husband in January and it was "instant" love for them. Check through my posts there are heaps of pics and info on my birds, aviaries, and ERIK ;D (my pride and joy at the moment). Welcome and I hope you enjoy yourself here. Oh and Sypher has a pair of ekkies who I think have layed an egg?  |

Welcome ekkifun!
My pair of ekkies are on eggs, so hopefully they will hatch in due time. As soon as they do, I will let everybody know. They are a beautiful bird and hopefully will get more pairs.
Keep us posted on how yours go when you try to breed them.
