Hi all,
Just a quick update on my pair of eccys with eggs. I checked them today and they were gone. No eggs. I am dissapointed, but will move them to their new aviary and set them up properly with nestbox access in walkway etc and Im sure they will do better next time.

Thanks, I am sure they will be better next time. They seemed to do everything well at the beginning. A new aviary will be all the diffference I think

oh that is a big dissappointment. Maybe gecko's (must be a huge gecko though) ate them. Hopefully better news next time.
Gee I must say that Ekkies are becoming very popular now hey. For so long I was the only one here with one........now "everyone" has them. lol

Just a quick update on the eckies. They are so much more relaxed in their new aviary. They are between a pair of plumheads and gang gangs. They dont fight with either pairs. Ican actually hand feed them now and also pat them on their toes. Im not game enough to touch their feathers as yet, but I will try eventually.
The female has laid again. She laid the first on sun night/ monday, so should have a second now. Hopefully all goes well. Will keep updated.
