If all goes to plan.......I will be getting a tame male PASTEL-BLUE ringneck in a couple of months - from a very good and reputable breeder. My boy will be fully hand-reared and DNA'd for me. Then in Jan 2009, when we move to Brissie, I'm FINALLY [glow=red,2,300]YAY[/glow] going to get my tame male sun conure from Perky Parrots. I've already made the arrangements with them ..........and hubby LOL ;D My turn to sing..... I'm so excited and I just can't hide it, I'm about to loose control and I think I like it, oh yeah.......... ;D ;D ;D A BIG WOOOO HOOOO I say.....now I just gotta squeeze my (also wanted) galah in there somewhere/someday and all will be swell!!!!

LOL Tash Yeah I'm kinda not trying to think about the move, hoping that way, the problems will dissappear lol.
Does anyone have a picture of a pastel blue IRN??? I don't think it's the colour I thought it originally was? I thought it was mainly a blue colour but now I think it may be a more green colour - is my current green IRN a pastel blue by any chance??
??

Super news Kat ;D No your green is definately green, pastel blue (which should properly be called Turquiose according to Dr Terry Martin) has some greenish tinge to the back but the head a neck is def. blue

WOW thanks jane for that site, there is a perfect pic, it's almost like I was looking at my lot with the future bird included. I can now deffinatelly see the difference, espceially when in the pic, the pastelblue sits in the middle, green on one side and blue on the other side! Yep, I deffinatelly want this boy.
Now I also forgot to mention, that I had already made arrangements with another local breeder (pre this pastelbvlue darling) who said, if he gets any male albinos, he'll let me know (I was originally after an albino you see)....well, if he also comes thru...I don't think I'll knock him back, his price was really good too...so I'll take an albino too..... ;D ;D
So with my wishful calculation, say by FeB 2009, I could have a tame pastelblue IRN, a tame albino IRN and a tame sunnie!!!!!! plus my 8 original members too ;D
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Yay yay yay yay ;D ;D ;D

Sing away baby...............I love that tune! Music to my ears You have every reason to be excited, and I am so glad that we can all share in the excitement together! Terrible for the birds to go to such an unloved enviroment - they will never be happy! Just joking, you go girl - hope that they are everything and more than you expect them to be.

I'd like to, check it out and all...can't wait! Thanks to your trusted opinion, Courtney, I decided to stick with perky's rather than take the risk and buy from an unknown source...so thumbs up for our rocker gal ;D ;D

I'm jealous! If you do get to go out you have to tell me if you see any of the blue-throated conures, and what they look like 'in person'. ;D I wish I could go...maybe I could smuggle myself down!
