Just a thought, but could they have been attacked by their father if they are all in together. I know some parrot males will kill their sons.

Laraine that is exactly what I thought. I had to take Singa my baby canary out of the cage with his parents due to his father attacking him when he was only a couple of weeks old. The male wanted to breed again and didn't want the bub in the cage too. But otherwise I have no idea.......hopefully someone with a bit more knowledge might be able to help out.

I agree with everyone else........are they dead but intact or dead and injured?

No they are intact...We think it mite be cats frightining them and then they die ,but the parents still stay alive.I hate this but gary has put out a cat cage to try and stop them from scaring his birds(wandering cats from neigbourhood) he used to take them to the pound and then they would get put down so i got up him coz i love animals and i have a cat but is inside at night,so now i told him just to leave them in the cage and spray them with water then let them go and hopefully they shouldnt come back if they know what is good for them .
He has taken the father out anyway to give the female a break coz they breed nearly all year round. He has a 6month old survivor at the moment and there are 3 babys i think in the nest.
Another drama at the moment is she has kicked a bay out of the nest(which i think mite be sick) and it is on the bottom of the cage ,but she still goes down and feeds it .Is that normal?? It has happened before and they baby hasnt died.....
Thanx .K.

Well the cat trap needs to go in the bin I would go with an autopsy, what if the parents are carriers of an avian disease....in which the babies don't survive as a result ? Have read tha about a few types of diseases

I would have tried to put the bub back in the nest if she was still feeding it. they fledge at around 2 and half to 3 weeks anyway..........so maybe she didn't kick it out maybe it jumped out a bit too early.
How are they going by the way??
