Hi everyone,
Just a very quick question, I have a friend with three adult cock cockatiels (all having lived together for over 2 years). She wants to know if it's possible to introduce a hen into that mix and also whether they can breed happily together in that situation.
Rgds Tim

i personaly would get three females or seperate one of the males into another cage and put her with him i would not reccomend putting a single female in with three males as this is a mix for someone for someone getting hert if you were to add three females it would breed without a problem as long as you provide enought nesting areas 3 nesting areas for every 2 pair i would recomend hope this helps regards bill

Hi Tim I think the hen would placed in a stressfull situtaion as the three cocks would be chanting at the bit for her! remove 2 males and yes no probs, otherwise i carn't see them breeding happily! Frank

Thanks for your advise. I kinda thought so, but you never know. :-) Unfortunately, my friend does not have sufficient enclosures to separate her flock. Possibly best advise is to leave her stock as is for now till she can provide better breeding setups.
Thanks again.
