My grey ringneck, Scully (aka Pigeon) came with the three other irns' you see in my sig pic (in april this year). They aren't tame but aren't flighty or anything and are quite content to hang out at home with us, they sit outside on the top of their cage during the day.
The grey one, has always showed most potential to becoming tame as he is always curious about what I do and tries to get close when I'm in their cage etc. We have even reached the stage where they all, will take food out of my hand.
But ever since I got Rhuby (Rhubarb), Scully has noticed that Rhuby sits on my shoulder and eats with me etc ...and this has somehow given Scully more courage to approach me and not fear me as much.
Yesterday, Scully decided to fly down from the roof perch of his cage and sat on my arm and was checking me out, up close - it only lasted a few seconds but boy, it was a melting moment
...time stood still......aaaaaaahhhh 
......anyway, later on again, yesterday and today, I had my hand out just in the door-way of the cage, door was fully open, I had peanuts in my hand aswell.
Scully eventually came down to my hand, but at both times, showed no interest in the peanuts but showed more interest in my hand. He spent like half an hour, just nibling on all my fingers and playing with my wedding ring - never bit/hurt me once.
I stayed there with my arm out, as long as Scully kept doing it until he had enough and went up on his perch.
When he was nibbling on my fingers, he even perched himself on my fingers . It felt soooo great, I've never been soo close to Scully before, his feet felt cold and scratchy but his body felt so warm and gentle....I'm soooo in love with my little pigeon. This was actually the first time ever, I've had an IRN, casually perched on my hand.
Does anyone know or can explain, what this half-hour finger nibbling business meant and where can I take it from there??? Will we eventually be able to snuggle and cuddle and hang out together?? I am sooo in love ;D
The only problem I'm having, is that Scully actually want to be friends with Rhuby aswell but Rhuby has a go at him with his beak and chases him away .....poor Scully
Ok...well if anyone knows what this means, please let me know and what I can do, to progress our "ralationship"
