I went to get some seed today and to have a bit of a yarn to the guy that owns the shop, he breeds cockatiels, well he just happened to have this beautiful white faced cinnamon pied cock bird for sale, it is 18 months old and a proven breeder so guess what I did ;D ;D ;D, well I couldn't just leave him there for someone else to buy could I.
I will post some pictures of him when I get my camera set up to this new computer, I also picked up some seed that he recommende I should try and sprout, that's soaking as i type this, I'll let you know how it goes.

Good for you, I wouldn't be able to resist either. I am a hopeless case when it comes to buying birds. I think all birds I see need a good home.

Look forward to the pics John. What type of seed is it that you have soaking? Shaun It's his own mix Shaun, he blends oats, wheat, gray striped sunflower seed and a couple of others, he sells it as wild bird mix but the difference to the comercial stuff is it's all fresh so it should sprout well. Ahhhh yes, the old "go to produce store to buy seed, come home with a bird" syndrom. Very hard to resist that strain of illness. Best to "go with it" and let it run it's course. No point in fighting it, urges only gets stronger and stronger. Congrats on your new addition.
