Hi everyone, Just thought I would say hi, I am in central west NSW and have a wonderful flock. I have two quakers, Bobby and Beanz. Bobby is a blue, Beanz a green. Both hand reared. Also inside, I have a cockatiel, Bert ( Although I think Bert could well be Betty ) Bert is also handreared and is a bit 'special'. Outside we have 'Cocky Boy' a rescued Cocky from Sydney who would love to kill me... three canaries, two green cheek conures - Charlie and Chester and two budgies. I am looking forward to getting to know you all

Pinkdevil, I'm near Cowra.
Silvercloud, we love the 'special' ones too, Bert certainly falls in to that category being a much smaller size then an ordinary tiel, late to feather up and a few other little quirky things that he does.

Welcome Barb, I too can't wait to see pics of your flock. I have a "special" bird too. He was hatched by my birds but they accidently crushed part of his head around his eye and now his head is a bit misshaped and he is blind in that eye.......otherwise he is perfectly normal now and with feathers his mishaped head is not so obvious.

ok what is chuckles pressie Ellen ;D ....... a boyfriend??? ;D ;DHush your mouth Tracey. If Chuckles here's you say that she will be bitterly disappointed. She is counting on this long distance relationship with Erik. I think that suits her, because she seems to be turning out to be a one or two person bird. Chuckles will fly to Mick and Shae (my daughter), but when they try and put their hand near her, she looks like she is going to latch on. I don't think she is going to, but they are a little scared of that big black beak, and they pull away - then in turn - Chuckles thinks she has the upper hand. Chucky uses her beak "ALOT" because of her feet, it balances her. I can't say that she has ever bitten me, but she does hold on fairly tight. The pressie - sssssssssshhhhhhhhhhh - I bought her a new ball with balls inside that ball. She loves to play. And I still have to buy her a big seed bell, I would like to encourage her to eat some seed. She is still having her three meals a day from me, but I think I am maybe spoiling her a bit
