Hi all,
I was in a pet shop today and saw light yellow peachfaces with a white face. What are they called? also any links/info etc would be great. What would I expect to pay for them? Are they common? They looked awsome.
Thanks Shaun

Without a photo to verify, I suspect that what you saw are Whiteface Creamino Peachfaces. It's not a common mutation but they are very pretty.
Creamino is Lutino in blue series lovebirds.

They could be Cremino or Whitefaced Primrose I would say by looking at the photos! Thanks very much for the links! what sort of money would I expect to pay for them?
Thanks Shaun

Is this what you are talking about Shaun? This little man took my eye too, so I bought him. At that stage I didn't know what he was, but has since fathered two lots of babies at once. He has two hens and between the three of them I got 5 babes. And he has done it again, there are three babes in one nest now and just waiting for the eggs to hatch in the other.

I have a couple of questions about the photo.
Does the lovebird have pink/red eyes? While the natural lighting is very bright, it's also very hard to tell eye color.
Is the forehead mostly white with just a wash of apricot coloring on it? That's OK with Whiteface mutations and they are still considered Whiteface.
Is the beak just horn colored or is it two toned, e.i. pinkish at the top and fading to horn about halfway down? The darker yellow feathering indicates the presence of at least one dark factor. That's the only way you see dark factors in inos. It's fairly easy to see with Creaminos. Lutino is much, much harder!
What kind of babies did you get from your pair?

sypher,if the birds cost forty dollars, they can't be rare.Still might not be as common, as some other mutations.Other people might be more knowable about this, than myself.Mutations that have just ,been established,in Australia, can very expensive.People are willing to pay a huge amount of money to acquire them. Breeders who have these mutations, are frightened to advertise the cost in public,as these birds might get stolen,by a thief. Hope this helps. From Robert and Precious

Hi Just thought i mite put my 2 cents in even though its a bit late-yes it is a whiteface lovebird and although not rare-they also aren't very common either. However if you had a voilet dark factored lovebird, they can go for $400. For some reason the problem woth lovebirds is that they are too cheap-i dont get why they dont go for more, cos they are certainly worth it as far as i am concerned. All my lovebirds are whitfaced, some have a darker apricot forhead than others. I will post a picture of one of my pied lovebird little boys. I love the pieds. Hope this helped?
