yes we now all know about the issue at hand with the doggy biscuits... sooooooooooo lets come up with our own parrot ones this is all a bit of fun but I also hope that just maybe we might be able to really make these things….who knows What we need to look at: 1. CONTENTS 2. BINDING AGENTS 3. CONSISTENCY 4. PLIABILITY 5. TASTE 6. SHAPES 7. SIZE 8. EXPERIMENTERS 9. NAME 10. PROMOTION Let’s break these points down: CONTENTS:Yep this is a simple one but remember that Consistency & Pliability will play a part here. BINDING AGENTS:I was thinking of gelatin, what’s your thoughts CONSISTENACY & PLIABILITY:Thing to think of here is how chunky & how hard etc TASTE:Yummmmm…..say no more SHAPES & SIZE:Not too worried about shape just yet, but size…yes. EXPERIMENTERS:Have you got some time to make a batch, show of hands please I’m pitching in for sure, this will be fun…..thanx Bill I can see your hand waving NAME:I think we will all go to town here, we are a creative bunch PROMOTION:LOL…I just stuck this in for laughs but, well…you never know

I think so, lots of people feed thier birds Madeira Cake, I'm not much of a cook, but I would imagine this cake would contain flour and eggs

A bit to much calcium there Bill and to heavy on the kelp..and far to much workforce..I think you better tone these down a lot...You will be doing a lot more harm then good there...(((You are already using the egg shells))) I already make parrot biscuits and sell them at market stalls... Ok one hit..instead of water..fruit juices....((no sugar))...Make shore that the bisuits are baked hard..you dont wont them going moldly.. Thats it from me....

Ok since you guys want a recipie..here is an old one of mine... Apple Cinnamon crunch 1Minced large apple ½ teaspoon cinnamon 1 cup of oatmeal 1 ½ cups whole-wheat flour/or multigrain flour 1/8-cup sesame seeds 1tlb spoon kelp 1tlb spoon apple cider vinegar ¼ cup of honey (the real stuff) ½ cup orange juice (no sugar) 1 eggshell and all Adjust the size of your biscuits based on how big or small you want them. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and flip each cookie to brown evenly on both sides. Turn the oven temperature down to 180 °C. Return to oven and bake for an additional 30 minutes. Let cool. Makes about 3 dozen crunchy cookies, depending on how big you make them. You can also use minced carrots as well...Any kind of fruit or vegetables can be used..it's a good way for them to eat there veges if they dont already...I find the bigger birds eat them...You can also try ground almonds..Have a play around...The birds want mind sampling them

Hi Bill & Deb, just a suggestion but what about adding some ground up hazelnut, brazil nut, pumpkin seeds, Seasme seeds & even ground up walnuts as they will provide a complete protein to the biscuits & they are the good oils too. Not sure how nuch but 1 to 2 tablespoons should be fine. Cheers Anna
