My new guys

I came home with 8 budgies today - only went to buy Lutino & Albino and maybe a Gray and/or a Green. Ended up with 3 Spangles too!

some nice colours there Karen and the grey one has a nice big head too. I like the albino/white one he looks almost bleached white hey....nice ;D

Yeah, he's a real show off too. He's a Double Factor Spangle actually and if I had a better camera you'd see there is a little bit of shading on his right upper breast.
Great personality too, I just loved it when he puffed himself out when having a shake!

They sure are. These ones were some of the fellows culls. He showed me his keeper birds and by golly!
The Double Factor Spangle has a brother that is twice as handsome as my new guy!
I had to be tough - he had a light violet with white and violet wings hen that I fell in love with, but I had to be strong! (hate myself though!).

Well in this case he has a limit of 100 budgies so many 08 budgies had to go - unless they were better than older birds.
He is a full one show breeder and bencher and when you breed for show you always try and breed the perfect bird - or as close as you can get. One's that don't have the X factor can/will either make good stock birds or if you have too many, they get culled out.
I emailed him last night to let him know the gray cock he gave me has made a full recovery and gone in with the rest of the boys in quarantine.
Also, I have been thinking of a hen I didn't buy but couldn't get her out of my mind. He responded today that he'd just sold the whole lot but he'd keep her for me to pick up anytime!
