Hey Guys,
Thought id give you an update on pea's n stachios bubbies.
Out of their four eggs three bubbies hatched, one of the babies died in the first few days, not sure why but it was being fed, crop emptying etc
Anyway the remaining two are doing excellently. Nut n stachio are doing and excellent job keeping them topped up and happy. The bubs opened their eyes 2 days ago, they are now wide open and are starting to investigate the nest box a bit. The nest box is very clean and they bubbies have ALOT of substrate in the box, peanut has been piling up the nesting materials into that box ;D theyd have to be atleast 3.5 cms off the floor of the nest box because of the nesting materials
They have/had bright orange down, i have read that this could mean pied babies? its possible because pea is a green pied bird. They are very cute bubbies and im so glad peanut and pistachio are looking after them so well. They are always nice and full when i see them and look very contented:) will get pictures when peanut stops trying to kill me when i have a peek

Update: basically i have put together a picture time line of the bubbies growth for everyone too see, the pictures are kinda crappy because i used my phone to take them! i always have it with me so it come in handy when i see something cute!! a few days old  Bit older here!!  eyes open!!  When i pulled them, poor little nekid bubbies!  new pins coming in.  looking cute as usual    Perching... well kinda!  Some from today! Noisy Baby - very noisy all the time haha, very confident little bubba whos not afraid of much at all  Shy baby - hes a little bit shy but once hes feeling secure he comes out of his shell and is a real little clown!  Of course noisy baby and shy baby arent there names - they dont have names at all!!! Hope you enjoys!! |

Green series birds are hatched with orange down. Babies were plucked but nothing severe. Great photos of mum and babies

Yep the yellow birdy was mum:) thats peanut, vicious little thing hehe. J&J, the babies were being plucked yes, i decided to pull them as she had started making them bleed, i didnt want to pull them as i wanted her and her partner to rear them. No such luck. They are on a break now anyway:)

Haha they are cute, getting very cheeky, they were sitting on my head about an hour ago, id take them off and theyd be staright back up their. haha once they start flying theyll be little terrors!!!

They are very sweet, I do love little babes. I just sold 8 of my babes and I kissed each and everyone of them goodbye before I parted with them.  |

I will be kinda sad when these guys go, i know one will make a fantastic pet but the other little guy is going to need some work hes just so shy! so he will have to go to a good home where he will have lots of time spent on him
I know my boyfriend really wants one but lovies are so noisy when they want to be! he is going to take a pair of my birds to his place for a while and see how the noise goes and if they arent so bad he might just take a baby:) But he also really wants a princess so i think he should wait until i can get hold of one of those for him!
im getting some more babies next week, teils budgies and lovies all to hand raise im looking forward to it! atleast it will feel more worthwhile getting up in the middle of thenight to feed 10 babies rather than only two!!
