I am hoping Monty will take kinder to this one than he did to Matilda. I know she's not an IRN but he's just going to have to learn to love his own species. I was trying for a green hen but this blue was only $10 more so thought why not? I haven't come up with a name for her. The 3 I've currently got are: Prince & Matilda, and Monty.

Here's hoping this time things run a little smoother for you all. She is quite a pretty little thing isn't she. Princess parrots are really an amazing bird, you don't have to hand rear them and they still seem to be quiet. I have two in the big aviary and they are always the first two to come down and take food from my hands. Regina............mmmmmmm.......I really like that name. I think it suits her too! I always find it difficult naming new birds. I usually surf the net to find names. Or I ask my kids, they are always full of ideas.

The name has been decided, there were 3 people who picked Regina and 3 for Nelly and 1 for Molly, so out of the tiebreak I've chosen Nelly. Thanks for the choices guys!

Me too! I'm on a promise for a hand raised baby that Monty fathers to the daughter of the lady who adopted him to me - that was why I was so disappointed to find out he preferred female lutino IRN's to his own species! Hopefully he'll develop an interest (in his own species) now that he's been away from her (IRN) for some time now.

You never know, Nelly might whisper sweet nothings into his ear - and the rest will be history! You will have lots of little babies
