Howz things?
I am Sue mum to Peggy and Pierre. I was also mum to Manau.
I have 2 Sulpha Crested cockatoo's, 2 Labradors, 1 cat, 2 chooks.
We live on half an acre out bush, half an hours drive to our closest main town, well that is somewhere you can go shopping like safeway and the likes. Here in my town we have a pub and a general store where you collect your mail and get general supplies.
Wildlife is abundant and I really enjoy seeing the wild birds that visit daily. My cockatoo's were all from a part of these bird visits. Manau landed on my front yard, Peggy was given to me by my vets and Pierre from a man dying in hospital. All these birds were once wild but the people took them on from some deformity which disabled the bird. Peggy has no feathers, PiPi which I call him short for Pierre has half a bottom beak and Manau, well you will all know about Manau soon enough. All have PBFD. I have educated myself on the disease.
I see much wild birds here and can pick the PBFD ones at a glance. It is prolific, you may notice them yourself but not realize what you are looking at. The Rainbow Lorrie with skungy feathers, the Eastern Rosella you thought was a baby because of it's mottled coloring, that Sulpha that walked around the tree but didn't seem to go away, well most of these birds have PBFD. If you haven't seen this you soon will.
I am trying to educate people about PBFD. I am trying to make them aware of the disease, hopefully educating them in the end so they no longer condem and persecute me and wake up to what I am saying.
