Okay, yes I did it. I went away and I couldn't help myself, I bought more than one pair of birds. I was very well behaved, I only bought 2 pairs of redbrows 1 male zeb 1 pair of yellow turqs 1 pair plumhead finches. and I bought a mature male Eckie last weekend. I tried so hard just to get just the one pair of birds, but when I look at them and see how beautiful they are, I just have to have them. The turqs really caught my eye. They are only young and have a bit of colouring up to do - can't wait. We are off to Gunnedah this weekend I can't wait. I am just going to have to control myself! It's that, or I will have to walk around with a blindfold on. And this is Glen. We still have the birds in the birdroom, so when we release them into the aviaries I will take some more photos.

We put Glen into the aviary today, and also the turqs. They have settled in well. Glen has found his voice - yep, we know he is fine, I can hear him a fair distance away from the house. He has actually taught Chuckles to call out like an Eckie. Until now, she never ever made a real loud noise - now she can! The turqs are loving it in the aviary. It looks like they have never seen ground before. They are just running around crazy on the ground, digging and foraging. Finches are still in the birdroom, still tossing up whether to release them yet or not. Now it is coming into winter we have to do some arranging. Geez, I hate winter.
