I have been keeping an eye out for a pair of slateys recently as there is something about them that I like and they are not a bird that you see alot of.
I finally got hold of a pair. They are 06 bred so with any luck they will lay this year. I will post up a photo of them in the coming days. They are similar to plumheads, but are bigger and different head colour.
The aviairies are getting pretty full now, with only a couple to fill. I dont think I will be able to build more for a while as the cost is more than I can afford at the moment.

I am happy to finally find the right pair. Even If I had to get Erin to pick them up from Sydney   They came from down Canberra way. shaun |

How many aviaries/birds do you now have Shaun? I'm going to be getting a new aviary in a few months.

She is great Ellen, and didnt mind at all. I was saying I wont get them, cant afford them etc and she said, I will go and get them. You have been wanting them for a while  I will have to spoil her on mothers day!  They are settling well. Very quiet for parent reared birds. Laraine, I dont have as many aviaries as I would like! I have 16 aviaries at the moment, with a pair of birds in each. I would really love to build another bank of 12. I got Kevin Rudds money today........    Shaun |

That looks great Shaun. Yep i agree everyone needs a walkway, no worries about a bird escaping.
Suspended cages are so easy to care for.
