Hi just wondering if anyone out there has a pet GCC that is talking and how well. My little cinnamon hen is starting to say hello and does a real good wolf whistle. She is saying something else but because she talks so softly i can't make it out. She is a dear little thing.

Thanks for that AV. Have been checking around and have they aren't bad little talkers. I have called her Thumbelina, so i have been trying to teach her that. I have never kept a GC as a little pet so decided to hold her back not sure whether i will get her a friend or not, might get a Ys/cin. Still thinking.

Trouble wolf whistles and blows kisses. He also occasionally will try to mimic laughing. Jedi used to whisper very quietly 'hello' and 'pretty girl'. She was just starting to work on a wolf whistle when she got stolen.

Well done on your talking birds. Must be great keeping birds that talk. All my birds hide when I visit them. Only my Kakariki's come to the wire and take food from my hand but they have never said a word.

Steve most of my parrots talk, even the aviary birds because they pick it up from each other. Its lovely in the morning when i go out side i always get a good morning darling from them. Makes the day enjoyable. But most of my parrots have been hand reared then put in the aviaries so they have always talked.

My male Superb talks but I can't understand what he says, it is a sentence. He also wolf whistles, I have been trying to teach him to say hello, but so far no go. But still persevering.

I know it is off topic, but there is no reason why other birds cannot be posted about just because we are talking about a particular species.

My GC's are only young and i have only had them a couple of months but they do wolf whistle, Pia says "Pi Pi" and they say spikey boy (the cockatiels name) their wolf whistle is very good but their words a soft and a bit husky. My cockatiel is much clearer.
