Well i just can't believe it. GCC have been acting a bit weird lately, always scurrying out of the nest box to see what i have for them. Took a look today and there is 2 eggs and she is about ready to lay a third. These are the ones that had 3 clutches last season, the last clutch started to hatch on the 10 February & here we are in June and she is laying again. I don't think this is normal. Or i have a very bonded well fed pair. Looks like its going to be a funny season again this year.

I'm surprised the GCC are laying eggs now, don't they know it's supposed to be winter. Do you have the same breeding seasons as we do down south?

I've had green cheeks start breeding at Easter - and have 3 clutches through to October. Which is why the price of them has plummeted to almost give-away prices.
cheers

I haven't a clue Laraine. GCC normally breed up here around Xmas, well i have babies to sell at Xmas, then they will go down again but i got the 3 clutches. Total of 14 babies. Sold all except Tinkabel.
Mike i find that they are a good seller if no cockatiels are available.
Don't know what's happening maybe the rain kicked them off.
