Kissing restricted to top of head and Beak

I had to learn the hard way. Kissing elsewhere promotes sexual activity on the part of Precious. I don't mind him trying to feed me.But the other stuff seems to cause him to go into a trance and he becomes quite aggressive.He definitively becomes a nicer bird,if I restrict the kissing to the appropiate places.Hope this makes sense.

Really? Robert, may I ask, does Kiki have any objects he plays with sexually?

I kiss Bicki on his back, on his head, and on his tummy. He has never acted sexually towards me. In fact, I'm quite envious to hear other bird owners have birds that are regurgitating or showing affection towards their owners. Bicki has never shown any interest in me, he just sees me as a friend.

He lets loose all his sexual activity on a ball in his cage. The ball is like a cat ball and is roughly the same size as him. I think he thinks the ball is his mate or something?

For a long time I noticed you had not been on, for four months. Just then noticed ,you recently logged into your site with Bicki.
Tikki is actually the name of name of Emilys Lovebird. I don't know where Kiki comes from.Sorry.Precious regurgitates food to me only a bit .He goes elsewhere mainly for that.But when I put my finger in his cage,when he is in his cage,he does regurgitate to the finger,or more to the point,at least tries.Outside his cage ,sometimes he tries to masturbates my hand. I don't like him attacking my other hand,or elsewhere, when he does that.He seems to go into a trance. I don't know why Bicki doesn't do such behaviour.Maybe Bicki is too passive,for that to happen. I don't know the relationship between kissing and sexual behaviour in Lovebirds.Whether kissing on their tummy ,can have that effect,I don't know.I have read elsewhere, that it can have that effect.Whether that is true for all Peachface is obviously debatable.

Oh sorry, Kiki was the name of Bryan's Angel's lovebird. I got mixed up. ^^;

Hmmm, well my theory as to why Bicki doesn't do that type of behaviour is that he has an object in his cage where he does all that stuff to.

If you want to stop him doing that behaviour to you, I suggest you get an object (I think a ball works best) and when he is doing that behaviour, you show the ball to him and leave him alone. That way, he will assosciate that behaviour to the ball and hopefully will release all that behaviour on the ball itself and forget about doing the behaviour to you. ^^;

I haven't tried this out because Bicki has never showed any interest to me lol, but I think you should give it a try..

Bicki likes kisses, he always wants more. But he doesn't do anything further than kisses.

Thanks Bickitrainer, Might have to get Precious a ball.Because I have been discouraging that behaviour,Precious doesn't do anywhere near as much. But a ball might come in handy.
