Just ordered one of the new Brinsea Octagon 20 Advance & another Rearing Modual. I keep lending mine to my kids to hatch out their chickens only thing they don't seem to find their way back. So this way i have my own & they can share my old one between themselves. I'll keep the old rearing modual as it will come in handy should i need it.
Does anyone else have the Advance???
Cheers.

Yep it can do so your not lost. I got a full unit modual + the incubator, the octagon advance does not fit the rearing modual. Did i confuse you more.

lol, me again Ive had a look at the prices and they look ok on sale. How much postage did they charge Robyn? Also what is the differences between the parrot module (which from what I have read is a complete set up brooder) and the TLC4? I would like to get one of them. my wife is sick of trying to keep the temp set on ours. My understanding is once you program a temp in the brinseas, they regulate to stay at this. Shaun

Think it was about $60 to Cairns. They all work the same so yes you just set the temp and leave it. Very easy to work. And a breeze to clean as well. I'll take a pic of the brooder box my son made it's a beauty. I can fit heaps of chicks in there & it can also be used for sick adult birds should i need to.

Thanks Robyn. I contacted them about the difference between the two etc. Basically the TLC4 is bigger and has filters for fluff etc. I dont know if its necessary for the filters, as the one Im using now is fine without them.
Robyn, how many eccie chicks will you fit into the parrot module?
Thanks Shaun

Hey Shaun, Some pic's of the brooder my son made. Has a 100 watt bulb operated by a dimmer switch. As you can see we have a patient in it today. Little cockatiel came to me this morning hopefully i can save it. I mainly use the Brinsea for the new hatched chicks should i need to. 3 would be the most i would put in it, probably up to 3 to 4 weeks old. Once they have their thick down i put them into just a box with a cover over the top. Robyn.
