This is really a confession: Looks like i am going to be the proud owner of a pair of Northern Kings....AGAIN.... I had a pair an gave them to my mate Bob, then my daughter in law wanted a pair so i asked a guy in Townsville to keep a look out for a pair & forgot all about it. The poor guy rang me today. He found some & already has them at his place. Now the son doesn't want his wife to have them so i didn't have the heart to tell this poor guy i didn't want them. At $250 for the pair. Thought that was reasonable.
I am just so lucky i still have some empty aviaries.
Robyn.

Well well well Tracey, lucky you. I can't wait to put these two little rascals that I have here in the house out in the aviary. Glen and Rosie (the two that are already out there) are very happy. They always seem to be sitting very close together. And Cherry and Pickles get very excited when we take them outside to see the others. Come on summer.
Besides you need another pair of birds, you can never have too many!

OK as promised the pic's of the Kings. Do you know how hard it is to get a shot of these birds when they are so skittish. They kept zooming around the cage anyway these are my best shots. They need a good bath. They don't look their best although look healthy enough. They eat well, so far are not fussy.

Nice looking birds, Kings are on my wish list. How do you sex them? Where we go on the NSW south coast they are wild and come in for feeds with the Rainbows.

Thanks everyone,
Tell you something after owning the larger southern kings these northern kings are so small. But kinda of cute. They have yet to make a sound. A bit flighty at the moment but should settle down nicely.
Robyn.
